ABOUT ABOUT

Fungi: the Good, the Bad, the Beautiful program presented by Jerry Hassinger. Pennsylvania is home to over 8,000 different kinds of fungi.  Join retired Pennsylvania Game Commission biologist and fungi expert Jerry Hassinger and take a look at some fascinating fungi found locally, and examine their outstanding structures and color. Jerry will discuss how, for better or worse, they have and are affecting our forests, our wildlife, our food (including beer, bread and blue cheese); and even our health.  The program will begin with a short walk on the trails photographing and identifying fungi.
